PDAS FOUNDATION HOSTS IJEBU IGBO YOUTH IN A ONE-DAY SEMINAR TAGGED "SEEING THE FUTURE FROM THE PRESENT"

The CEO of PDAS Foundation, Princess Adekemi Sijuade hosts the progressive youth of Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North Local. The Youth under the umbrella of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYSC) and Ijebu Igbo Youth Congress (IIYC) are ably represented. The Students under the Federation of Ijebu Igbo Students Union and The Royal Ambassadors of Ijebu Igbo are equally present for the seminar.

The Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Mr. Bolaji Odusanya sends a representative.

The seminar is centered on finding lasting solutions to youth idleness and redundancy in the community. Such idleness enables the youth to be used and abused by the older generation and rendering them futureless.

Proper home training, strict adherence to cultural and social values, engagement in vocational training/skill acquisition programmes and proper monitoring are seen as panaceas to the dwindling fortunes of the younger generation.

It was all agreed that the secondary students should be the focal point of interest so as to curb the essences of youthful exuberance witnessing in the present days.

Tomorrow belongs to today's youth hence there is need to see the future from today as the theme of the event proclaim.
